Then your faith has been ‘disenfranchised’. Thousands of believers have been DISALLOWED the covenant because of the spiritual apathy and willful disobedience the evangelist, preacher, and teaching pastor has towards the Headship of Christ.

We see thousands upon thousands of people around the world making ‘decisions’ for Christ, but they are not making the decision to come into covenant.  Because they are not brought into covenant they are left searching for the path that God has for them. The covenant is the path. Our service to God through covenant fills each day with the grace and power of God that brings the fullness of Christ and makes us complete in Him.

Because the false gospel did not bring the believer into covenant with God, God’s will for their life centered on themselves instead of on Jesus Christ. These covenantless believers began a lifelong search for the ‘key’ or ‘formula’ to find out HOW to listen to God in making those day to day decisions. Every log on the path to personal fulfillment was seen as Satan trying to steal their blessings. So they read books about HOW to rebuke the devil, HOW to use their spiritual ‘powers’ to war against the devil.

Because faith centered on their needs, this warring centered on ‘maximizing their life placement choices’, and removing the ‘roadblocks to gratifying relationships’.

Jesus responded to this kind of self-centered gospel in Lk.12:13,14, “And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.  And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?”

These believers call Jesus Lord because they want to use Him to oversee the affairs of their life.  The fleshly nature of man wants to use faith to find self gratification and somehow finds a way to disguise this lust and present it as ‘God moving in their life’. Jesus would respond and say, “Who made me a judge over your aspirations and principles, lusts, and carnal desires?”  Jesus is Lord of the covenant.

God is a shield to the righteous. Those who are in covenant with Him serve Him through the things of Christ, and He is their shield. When the righteous seek first the kingdom of God, all these other things (needs of their life) shall be added unto them.

If your faith has been ‘disenfranchised’ because you have been DISALLOWED the covenant because of the spiritual apathy the evangelist, preacher, and teaching pastors have towards the Headship of Christ, then you are suffering because you were taught how to use God for your own self gratification. Because your faith is disenfranchised, God is not your shield. You are sensing a loss in your spiritual life, a loss of direction, trying to find meaning in your suffering.

You want help to understand God’s will for your life, you want your will to be God’s will. You want the details of your life to glorify God, but you are at a loss to know how. When you suffer because you don’t know how to serve God with perfect faith in covenant with Him, then you also become the victim of ‘spiritual merchandising’.

The preacher will go to great lengths to set the blame of spiritual failure at your door, or teach you how to blame the devil and teach you how to cast him out and claim your blessings. Have you noticed how many books you have bought to try to find the answer to that ever increasing spiritual hunger, and to deal with spiritual problems, and to try to find out how to maneuver yourself so God will be disposed to bless you? 

When evangelists bring believers into a covenantless gospel they are simply enriching their own pockets. The very evangelist who orphaned your faith offers you new remedies and ‘spiritual fixes’ every few months.  Believers have become spiritually addicted to the ‘highs’ and hype of each new book (much like channel surfing).

Your faith is in crisis because the evangelist failed to bring you into covenant, yet he has a ‘new word from the Lord’ that you have to buy into. Not once does the evangelist admit that he or she sold you short in failing to preach to you the gospel that would join you to God in covenant through our Lord Jesus Christ.

You don’t doubt that Jesus died for your sins, but you don’t know how to serve Him with perfect faith. You are trying to serve Him with your talents and human giftings (things that are imperfect, things of the flesh), but these were not enough. The evangelist not only fell short in preaching the gospel, but made you serve God through the flesh.

WHY GOD IS USING APOSTLES TO BRING THE BODY INTO COVENANT:

In July of 2003 I heard a popular Christian writer, evangelist, and television personality confess that after 40 years of ministry he has made a course correction. He used to think that doctrine was everything, and spent hours in study and prayer, trying to make sure his doctrine was correct. Now he says he has come to the conclusion that doctrine was not as important as he had originally thought.

The early apostles did not make course corrections after 40 years of ministry. These course corrections depict a fundamental breakdown in understanding how to come into covenant with God and how to serve Him with perfect faith. This depict depicts a faith that is overshadowed by the traditions of man.

II Jn.9, “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.”

The doctrine of Christ, when delivered through teaching apostles who are called of God, provides the complete STRUCTURE of truth as well as the FUNCTION of truth. The doctrine accompanies the function, and vice versa. Doctrine was not designed by God to stand alone. It only stands alone when it is outside of covenant and when teaching evangelists and pastors replace teaching apostles.

Doctrine that is void of function is of no use to the Body of Christ. This is like a person who builds a factory, but has no goods to manufacture or prepare for shipment.  Of what use is the factory? We see that this popular televangelist never had the doctrine of Christ to give. He, like the others, sought after Christ, but not after the due course that God had set.

We see clearly that the Body of Christ, left without teaching apostles, wander from doctrine to doctrine looking for faith.

We see clearly that the Body of Christ, left without teaching apostles, are left without the covenant knowledge of Jesus Christ.

God is using apostles to bring the Body of Christ into covenant with Him and into the knowledge of how to serve Him through covenant.
