(What God Has To Say To Them)
|
If you try to please God through precept and line, you
will stumble. This is what Isaiah prophesied, "For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem," Is.28:10,13,14. Carnal minded believers quote this scripture about PRECEPT and LINE and proudly confess that they are precept and line people because their pastor brainwashed them with through misrepresenting the will of God through scripture. The problem is that the pastors and teachers never finished quoting the verse, "That they may fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken." Christians who don't read the Bible for themselves wouldn't bother to look. What do they think that means? To fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. Do you think that this is a good thing, To fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken? No, it is not a good thing. EXAMPLE of precept and line people: The blind leader's advice: "Stay in the Bible. There are no answers to any of life’s questions or problems outside of the Word of God." It is not 'life' that is the 'problem' but sin and death. God is the answer to the problem of sin and death. And God's answer is Jesus Christ, not the Bible (not paper and ink; not man's private interpretation of scripture). The counsel of the blind leaders returns you to the idolatry of seeking God and eternal life through paper and ink. They are following the same error as the Pharisees who thought that they could discover God and His truth through their carnal reasoning of the scriptures with syntax, grammar, and precept and line. God did not intend for anyone to know Him through precept and line. This is the tradition of man. That is true gnosticism. A relationship with God built on precept and line. The tradition of the Spirit is to know God after the Spirit. This is why Jesus said, "God is a SPIRIT; and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth," Jn.4:24. What does it mean to worship God in Truth? Just select a scripture from the Bible and do it? No. It means that God set the Record within Jesus Christ. This is why it was said of Him, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God," Jn.1:1. This is why Jesus called Himself TRUTH, "I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life, no man comes unto the Father but my Me, " Jn.14:6 The natural man has narrowed their salvation down to just a scripture in the Bible. But this is not the knowledge that saves. The knowledge that comes through Christ saves, the knowledge that comes through the Spirit. God reveals Christ. This is called grace, and the scriptures agree. The Bible says, "The ENTRANCE of thy words gives LIGHT," Ps.11:130. Precept and line don't give light to the soul, God does. In this verse God is speaking of the illumination (grace) that comes with His knowledge. This is how God gives us a heart to perceive in order for faith to be expressed and we can be saved and continue to serve Him in righteousness. Jesus said, “Search the scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life; and they are they which testify of Me. And you will not come to Me, that you might have life," Jn. 5:39,40.
The blind guides are setting a strange policy for your faith that says you are to gain knowledge from scripture apart from the grace of God. They are promoting gnosticism. Even Satan quoted scripture, but Satan tried to use scripture to confirm Himself. The grace of God confirms Jesus Christ. This is why grace and truth must be bound together just as the Record and the Witness are bound together (Jn.1:17). When believers try to do what Satan did (use scripture to confirm themselves) the grace of God is absent from the Record and God does not grant the Witness of the Spirit. Quoting scripture did not save Satan and quoting scripture will not save us. The Spirit makes the word living when the knowledge is ordered by the Lord. When the knowledge of truth is ordered by the Lord the Spirit of God gives life to your understanding, giving you a heart to perceive. Those who are instructed by this unction conform to and confirm the plan of God. This is the pattern that God is restoring to the Church. If you are reading this and saying, "I don't know what the Record and the Witness is," you are not alone. God is bringing the Body of Christ out of this darkness of ignorance. The TRUE Church will come out. The FALSE Church will be left behind. The following is an end time "rare" prophecy given by Smith Wigglesworth in 1947.
During the next few decades there will be two distinct moves of the Holy Spirit across the church in Great Britain. The first move will affect every church that is open to receive it and will be characterized by a restoration of the baptism and gifts of the Holy Spirit. The second move of the Holy Spirit will result in people leaving historic churches and planting new churches. In the duration of each of these moves, the people who are involved will say 'This is the great revival'. But the Lord says 'No, neither is this the great revival but both are steps towards it.
When the new church phase is on the wane, there will be evidenced in the churches something that has not been seen before: a coming together of those with an emphasis on the Word and those with an emphasis on the Spirit. When the Word and the Spirit come together, there will be the biggest movement of the Holy Spirit that the nation, and indeed the world, has ever seen. It will mark the beginning of a revival that will eclipse anything that has been witnessed within these shores, even the Wesleyan and the Welsh revivals of former years **Smith Wigglesworth was prophesying about the restoration of truth that is now taking place and the opening of the Second 8th Week. God is bringing together the Record (Word) and the Spirit (Witness) through apostles.
