Reinhard Bonnke Tells of Nigerian Man Raised from the Dead
Tuesday, July 30, 2002 edition of the 700 Club with Pat Robertson

The 700 Club reports:

Imagine you are a pastor claiming to serve the Lord, when a car accident takes your life. Immediately you are whisked away by angels to be shown heaven and hell. Shocked, you learn that if God decides not to send you back to Earth, you will suffer in hell forever. This is the story of Pastor Daniel Ekechukwu of Nigeria, Africa, who came back from the dead.

Quite a stirring testimony. Everyone loves to hear these testimonies of people being raised from the dead because then they can once more brandish the sword of whatever 'truths' they are claiming and act like God is confirming them through the miracle. Believers somehow make an imaginary connection between them and the testimony, and the doctrines which they want God to confirm.

But this testimony is NOT about one being raised from the dead, this testimony is about 2 pastors going to hell. That's the message. The raising of the dead is not the message. The message is about why two pastors went to hell.

Here is how some of the story unfolded:

BONNKE: An angel took him to show him Paradise. He showed him the mansions that are waiting for the saints. And he showed him HELL. He saw the people in HELL. He said one shouted to him, 'I was a pastor and I stole money. Help me to return the money.' He said it was so frightening to him that the angel turned to him and said, 'The prayer of the rich man in Luke 16 will now be fulfilled, and you will be sent back to earth as a last warning to this generation.' [end of quote]

No one is prepared to hear that God is condemning pastors to hell. It was interesting to see the look on Pat Robertson's face as his guest told this story and these ramifications became clear. Two pastors ending up in hell was not a good thing. Anyone would agree. Especially when the first was there because he exacted money from believers [we don't know why the second pastor was there, or how many more pastors where condemned to hell having lost their salvation].

There may be hundreds or thousands of pastors who, like this pastor, are not aware of their impending doom. They are ignorant of their spiritual blindness,

ignorant that their heart is darkened. These who have preached the blessed promises through Jesus Christ are suddenly denied access.

Although the implications of this testimony has clearly unnerved them, it's interesting to watch those in the FRS (False Religious System) trying to take this testimony of God's fearful warning and create a FLATTERY with it in order to overcome the contradiction that lies within them.

As I am writing this they are championing this man (whom God had condemned) as if he possessed the virtues of Christ. Thousands of 'conversions' are being reported based on this testimony. But these are not true conversions.

People are merely being 'thrilled' again with the concept that God is real, and
are challenged with the fear of not wanting to go to hell.

The true gospel is still not being preached. True repentance is still not forthcoming because the converts are not being brought into covenant with God, they are being brought under the bondage of the same damnable heresies that put the two pastors in hell.

Didn't these pastors who were in hell believe the fundamental, cardinal 'truths' about Jesus Christ?

Didn't they confess Jesus as their Saviour?

Didn't they preach many stirring messages about holiness?

Was it not in in their heart to serve God, and only God?

Didn't they diligently search the scriptures and ask the Holy Spirit to teach them ALL truth?

Didn't they faithfully employ the Berean method of discernment?

How did all these so called fail-safe systems fail them?

The 'fail-safe' system is flawed and they didn't know it.

I'm sure they were the run of the mill kind of pastors who felt the call of God on their life and who went to school to find truth and did many wonderful works in the name of Jesus Christ. They relieved the poor, and maybe even prophesied and moved in the gifts. But as Jesus even warned while He was on earth, "Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? And in Your name have cast out devils? And in Your name done many wonderful works?"

"And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you that work with iniquity," Mt.7:22,23.

The pastors and televangelists are too proud to accept the doctrinal cleansing that God is providing through real apostles, and they are bound and determined to forbid you to come also, continuing to remind you of all the false apostles and keeping your eye on the confusion that Satan has sown through them.

Unless all pastors begin to listen to this wake up call, they will miss the message that God is sending. God is saying that we cannot build confidence outside of the covenant. This is iniquitous. Every false pastor has set their confidence inreligion and in the private interpretation of scripture and not in God. This is why they have such strong confidence in their salvation despite the fact that they have built their house upon the sand.

Pastors will be condemned to hell	for selling these lies to believers
	for keeping them in bondage to their imagination
	and not bringing them into covenant where the true fellowship with God exists.

Several things become very clear:

1. God cannot be placated by false conversions.

2. God has a standard of righteousness through Jesus Christ that is not being preached

3. Pastors are unaware of their own condemnation.

4. Our imagination about God cannot save us.

5. False doctrine hinders faith, it does not assist faith.

Like people, like priest. If the pastors stand condemned before God for the message that they have preached, so also do those who take on the yoke of that message. They don't just TAKE your money, they give you the false message of why your faith should enter into the giving. This makes you a victim twice.

As a victim you also bear the same judgment as the pastor. It is no wonder that God has commanded, "Come out of her (FRS, Mystery Babylon) my people, that you be not partaker of HER sins, and that you receive not of HER plagues," Rev.18:4.

Being unaware of their own condemnation the pastors are ill prepared to bring the Church out of condemnation.

There is nothing flattering about joining someone who is in hell for robbing the saints. Not only have false pastors robbed believers of their money, but have robbed them of true faith.

God provided this testimony of the condemnation of two pastors and many other testimonies as a final warning to all pastors who are refusing to embrace the headship of Christ through His spiritual government. Restoration will not come through pastors but through true apostles.

EXTORTIONIST: One who wrings money from people by undue exercise of power or authority. In the case of extortion through religion, the pastors and televangelist uses scripture to create the false doctrine through which they exercise their power and authority. These extortionists will use scripture to take advantage of the compulsive nature of man by presenting fear or hope to force or trick individuals to give, I Cor.5:ll.

If this were an isolated problem God would not go to the extent that He did in sending this message to all pastors and indeed to those they have been enslaved by them.

In order to free yourself from all extortionists, and their methods of extortion, and to free yourself from the same condemnation that these pastors met, you will need the original foundation of truth set in your heart by a living apostle.

As an apostle, I am prepared to do that for you. Then you will have the same kind of discernment that the early church did to know what is in truth and what is in error. Only the true pattern of faith can free you from deception.

Why do I say 'deception'? Because these false pastors were not AWARE that they were transgressing against God. They were not AWARE that God condemns such transgressions. And because you have been seduced by them, you also are not AWARE of the deception.

They are seducing you into a position to give to them. They call this a 'spiritual law' or 'spiritual principle', but it is not a Second Covenant Commandment. And because it is not a Second Covenant Commandment Jesus is not mediating that activity and your faith is dead.

False pastors have seduced believers into believing the lies about the tithe by causing the people to look at their needs. They are very crafty in making you feel vulnerable to your needs and to threaten you that God will not care for those needs if you don't faithfully give your 10% over to them. They are seducing you into a position to give to them. They call this a 'spiritual law' or 'spiritual principle', but it is not a Second Covenant Commandment. And because it is not a Second Covenant Commandment Jesus is not mediating that activity and your faith is dead.

SEDUCE --- To refocus your confidence from faith to frailty. From reflecting Christ to reflecting your own confidence. To refocus your attention from Christ onto your own needs.

The gospel according to these false pastors presents this message:
1. If you need friends, be a friend.	2. If you need forgiveness, you forgive others.
3. If you need money, give money.	4. If you need love, give love.
5. If you need deliverance in any area in your life, give out of your need and God will meet you half way.

"Do this...... and God will do that." You are in view of your own frailty and need every day, why would you doubt what your pastor is saying? You don't doubt him, and this is why you play into his hands and continue to become a victim.

FRAILTY ----- Loss of substance. When Adam was cast out of the garden, he lost Light. He lost the substance of Grace. Losing this substance, his body and his mind became weak. Everything now centered on his SURVIVAL and not faith. This is frailty.

Pastors are promising God's care for your survival if you will give Him the 10th of all you own. They need to appeal to your basic fears and present the doctrines that provide a hope for your needs to be met in order to get you to comply.

This is why pastors are going to hell,
they have exploited the believer through exploiting their needs.

The false pastors told you that God demonstrates His glory	in our financial matters
	in our bodies
	in our souls
	in our circumstances.
They have lied and told you that we experience His glory	when we see supernatural increases in our bank accounts or
	when we receive the harvest from the financial seeds that we have planted.

Here we see a demonstration of
the EARTH BOUND gospel and the EARTH BOUND tools.

Believers are trying to confess faith in God and trying to glorify Him through the things that revolve around their needs. Improvement in finances, improvement in health, improvement in careers, the issue and use of talents, and control of circumstances.

Jas.3:15, "This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish."

DEVILISH --- To reflect Satan's wisdom through the earth bound gospel; to rob the soul of faith by sowing Satan's seed through the earth bound wisdom and tools.

God is not glorified through these things, man is. The world is not converted through envy, but by FAITH. This is why God demonstrates His glory through Jesus Christ only.

Pastors are going to hell
because they have preached an earthbound gospel which is sensual and devilish.

The false pastors have structured the church service to 'service' these needs. This is why their work shop seminars teach the pastors about 'Functional Structures', 'Empowering Leadership', 'Need-Oriented Evangelism'. In order to avoid making you feel like a round peg in a square hole they are being trained to fit your human talents with the needs of the people around you so you can successfully express yourself through giving. The false pastors are calling this 'augmented spirituality'.

This is a great approach for a 'sharing' club, but this does NOT demonstrate a good understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The gospel of Jesus Christ brings light to the soul through His knowledge and through the use of the tools of His covenant. Those who express Christ from the foundation of truth benefit from His likeness in the inner man.

Pastors have taught you how to give:
1. through friendship	2. through money
3. through loyalty	4. through your time
5. your talents
so you will feel good about yourself and be able to fill that void in your life.

They didn't teach you how to find completion in Christ,
and how Jesus mediates equity in the inner man through the tools of the covenant.

When you feel VULNERABLE to your needs you feel WEAK. Your pastor has told you that you can cast off your vulnerability by giving. Then you won't be weak anymore, you will be strong and increased (like him). But he is only increased because he has everyone's money.

So you give of yourself, your time, your talents, your energy, your money, your confidences. And he takes all that you have and tries to make you feel good about your accountability to him. Part of you feels good because you have sourced yourself out to others unselfishly, but you don't feel strong, you still feel weak. But he tells you that you will be strong, so you believe him (or her) and continue to give and give and give, trusting that the measures which you put into play will 'pay off' some day.

If the apostles are to restore the Church to the original foundation of truth, they must also restore to the Church the true function of the congregation of believers.

Pastors are in hell because they put accountability in themselves instead of in Christ and His truth, and enslaved you to your vulnerabilities instead of freeing you.

Despite what you have heard preached, we CANNOT cast off weakness and vulnerability. Even Jesus did not do this. If you think you can, your pastor has put you on the wrong battlefield. That's why God is condemning them to hell. They put your faith in the wrong things.

Today's christian is not properly fit for battle. They have wandered off the battlefield of faith and have wandered onto the battlefield of the flesh. They are wandering, looking for a means (power) to subdue the flesh because they feel lacking in the area of what they call 'personal holiness'.

THE CONDITION OF MAN --- "Who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage," Heb.2:15.

Because man is subject to the power of his own will he searches to find a means of directing the will, as a river is directed by the force of the current.

The false pastors have given you the false doctrines of the 'power of the anointing' and taught you the fleshly wisdom of how to find the true place of 'surrender' to God, promising His strength for your weaknesses. But there is no divine exchange because the believer does not understand that the divine power is a reflection of the divine knowledge. And they don't know how to put on Christ through the use of the divine tools of His righteousness.

Instead, you have been taught to envision your weaknesses as actually nailed to the cross with Christ, and to see yourself entering into Christ's death. You are taught that this envisioning activates the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit in your lives. This again is yet another rendering of the earth bound gospel which puts the practice and the power of Christ into what we can envision God doing, but is void of the divine connections that God uses.

The earth bound gospel
CAN embrace the facts about Jesus' shed blood upon the cross, but not give you the understanding of the tradition of faith or the pattern of truth that God provided to make faith a living reality.	They CANNOT provide you with the knowledge of the operation of God through the elements and the tools.

Satan is incapable of representing righteousness because he is burdened with his own principle. This false gospel is also incapable of representing righteousness because through it, man is still burdened with his own principle.

The false gospel teaches man to take the knowledge of Jesus Christ
to give life to their principle.

All religions provide man with a hope. Why are believers then still weary? Because God does not give substance to hope when knowledge is dead.

Pastors are in hell because they have led the believers onto the wrong battlefield, gave believers dead knowledge, false hope, and have made their faith a vain thing..

Believers have been falsely taught to put the blessing of God within the material and emotional realm. Pastors have told you that the blessing of God would overtake you if you gave. But failed to tell you that the blessing of God is upon those who are in covenant with Him. The blessing of God is seen when we keep the commandments of the Second Covenant. How many pastors can tell you what those spiritual commandments are? If they don't know them or how to keep them, how can they teach you? They promote the doctrine of the blessing of the flesh only because they preach the doctrine of human need.

The Faith of our Lord Jesus Christ does not emphasize Adam's nature or shine on Adam's ability to do good. Those who are under the influence of this earthly spirit and preach this dead knowledge have departed from The Faith.

We are blessed of God because even though we are in these bodies of frailty we fulfill the pleasure of the Lord through faith.
