Lesson:
APOSTLES SEPARATION AND CLEANSING

Many people today are being separated from the institutional Church, but are not being cleansed. They carry out with them all the false doctrine that contaminated their faith.

There are also many people who are coming out of the institutional churches who are recognizing that they need to be cleansed from all false doctrine, but are trying to cleanse themselves, without the grace of God through an apostle. They are merely trading one form of darkness for another, and the Body is NOT coming into ONE MIND concerning truth.

What does it mean to be separated AND cleansed by an APOSTLE?

JESUS GIVES THE EXAMPLE

When Jesus washed the feet of His apostles He was giving them an example to follow later when the Church was established. Jesus was establishing a TRADITION of FAITH, but when the Church left her first love, believers also left this first work by creating a tradition of man with this practice. We now see 'foot washing' services in memorial of this act. But Jesus was not initiating a program of 'how to clean one another's feet'.

We know that Jesus was referring to something spiritual and not natural because He said, "What I am doing (in washing your feet) you know not now, but you shall know hereafter." The apostles knew that Jesus was washing their feet, but didn't know the spiritual significance of the cleansing. It was more than a lesson in humility.

The cleansing of the Body of Christ comes from the headship of Christ through His apostles. This is what Jesus was establishing through example. As Jesus gave them the truth to cleanse their hearts, they also give truth to the Church to cleanse the hearts of the people and prepare them to serve God. We see this in Acts 2:42.

The cleansing through truth does not provide the environment for the elevation of one above another, but is a necessary service that God provides through apostles. The one whose feet are being washed must submit to the one who is doing the cleansing. But it cannot be said that the one who is doing the cleansing is in an exalted position, but in a position of service.

Jesus is again providing cleansing through truth through apostles. Jesus said, "Now are you CLEAN through the words which I have spoken unto you." Jn.15:3. Jesus said, "Sanctify them through you truth; your WORD (holy knowledge, ordered knowledge, not scripture, not precept and line) is TRUTH,"Jn.17:17.

This is why God is again using TRUTH to CLEANSE the Body of Christ. Jesus is reestablishing His first works through apostles. Jn.13:5-17.

Through the example of the foot washing Jesus was establishing spiritual government. "The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him," Jn.13:16. No apostle can project a truth that is greater than Christ. This is the error of the fallen Church. Through false doctrine the servant has tried to make himself greater than the master and the Church did not continue in her cleansing.

God is beginning now again with one apostle to cleanse the others. This is His prerogative. Those apostles will in turn cleanse the entire Body of Christ from all false indoctrination and then the true gospel will be preached to the world, and Christ will return for both a spotless Church and the harvest of souls.

GOD SETS THE EXAMPLE THROUGH MOSES

Num.8:5, 6, "And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, "Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them."

The Lord spoke unto Moses because he was the government head. Moses represented spiritual government. He was an individual, selected by God to preserve knowledge and sanctify the people. Therefore God used him to sanctify the Levites for service. God authorizes the inspiration of His government.

God is now using the Levites of the Old Testament as a type and shadow of the present day condition of the Church and the need for cleansing through a governmental head.

All believers are called 'priests' because we do priestly service to the Lord through the spiritual sacrifices of our faith (I Pet.2:9; I Pet.2:5).

Each believer needs to be taken and cleansed by the individual that God has selected to separate and cleanse them. This individual, as Moses, has already been selected by God to preserve knowledge and sanctify the people. This person will be an apostle because that is the calling that God uses to preserve the knowledge of the Second Covenant.

God has determined to move in this direction despite the fear and apprehension of the people, despite the fact that Satan as sown his own copy of spiritual government. Christians must overcome the contradiction and accept the wind of the Spirit.

VS. 7, "Thus shall you do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean."

There is a process that needs to be followed to prepare all christians to fulfill their priestly duties in service to God. The sprinkling of water upon the Levites signified the cleansing that God would provide for them before they would be allowed to serve. Christians must also be cleansed. The cleansing does not focus on the private lifestyle, but on faith. The faith of the elect must be cleansed from all that does not represent Jesus Christ.

Christians need to be cleansed from all the influences of their former thinking about the gospel. Each christian comes into the assembly with the vine of his own planting, and therefore each christian presently has their own agenda (formula for truth), has their own piece of the puzzle that they want to fit into the big picture, wants to see Jesus in their own image.

The Church today is in the condition of Israel in the times of Ezra each speaking half the language of the Jews and half the language of the children of Ashdod (Neh.13:24,25).

Read Ezra 9.

"The holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of the land." (vs.2)

"Our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass (against the covenant) is grown up unto the heavens." (vs.6)

Today, there are many who say they are apostles, who speak of healing and restoration for the Church, but they are still speaking half in the language of faith and half in the language of Calvin, and the language of Wesley, and the language of Luther, and the language of the modern philosophers of the so-called faith cults, and the language of the Assemblies of God, etc. That system is still present in the thinking of all christians in their approach to doctrine, in the use of the contact point for faith.

Ezra demanded that the Levites be cleansed by first separating themselves from their strange wives. Christians must be also cleansed by first separating themselves from all false indoctrination that they held close to them. The true apostles cleanse by setting the ONE foundation of truth in the heart of the christian.

In Numbers 8:7 we read that the cleansing also included the shaving of the flesh of the Levite, and the washing of their clothes. This depicts the total and complete cleansing that all christians must go through to release them from the smell of Adam, and the philosophy of Adam that has polluted faith. The apostles will cleanse believers from these things through truth.

DISCERNMENT: The difference between a TRUE or FALSE apostle is seen in the direction the person takes. The calling doesn't change with a false apostle, it's the direction and pattern that the vessel follows that is false.

Balaam was still a prophet even though he gave evil counsel. The true apostles will have the complete foundation of truth to set in the saints. The true apostles will have the pattern of truth set 100% in Christ and confess that they know this pattern of truth as a whole and not in part.

The false apostles believe that truth is in part because they lack the total vision of the pattern and see only in part. Moses did NOT see in part. Therefore a true apostle must receive the restored gospel as a whole to take the Church in the direction of healing, bringing each believer into one mind concerning Christ. The true prophets will build with that pattern in confirmation of it.

Therefore the revelation that God issues to the apostle and to the prophet are never in slight impressions or shadow leadings because these cause the course of action to be shrouded with ambiguity and uncertainty which is sure to cause confusion and chaos.

A false apostle will daub the wall with untempered mortar. Their words will sound as if they are in support of God and what He is doing in this hour, but their words are mixed with indoctrination which does not carry the grace and truth of God. Although true in sincerity, he is false in purpose, having no foundation of truth, he cannot contribute what he does not have.

There are many false prophets in the wilderness today who are just like Balaam. They speak some things true like Balaam did, but prophesy outside of the camp of the Lord. These 'Balaam' prophets prophesy what is true about the coming judgment of the world, and they prophesy what is true about the condition of the church, but like Balaam, do not conform to what God is presently doing. Prophecy is not an indication of conformity.

Today's false prophets are aware of what God is doing through Jesus Christ, just like Balaam was aware of what God was doing through Moses. But Balaam himself did not conform to Moses, that's why he was in the camp of Balak.

Just because a prophet can prophesy some things true, does not make him or her a true prophet of God. A true prophet of God confirms and conforms to these three things:

1. Spiritual government (through living Apostles who are restoring the true gospel).

2. Truth (confirming and conforming to that ONE foundation of truth that is not in part).

3. Spirit (the Holy Spirit will make living this word because it represents Jesus Christ ONLY).

Num.8: 8, "Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shall you take for a sin offering."

VS. 9, "And you shall bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and you shall gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together."

VS. 10, "And you shall bring the Levites before the Lord: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites."

Beginning with verse 8, the offering of the young bullock represents the slaying of the lower nature of man. The appetites of each christian and his ambitions and projections must be set aside. Then we see the new diet of the flour and the oil. This is the true communion of Christ that we all share.

FINE FLOUR ---- The truth that cleanses must also be ingested.

OIL ----- The grace of God that couples with truth.

When grace and truth are again the foundation that Jesus gives to the apostles to give to the people, then the communion of each christian will reflect that foundation and the expression of charity becomes the spiritual sacrifice of our lips. This begins the process of healing.

When the Levites were cleansed by Moses and they had offered their sacrifices after their cleansing, then they were then brought before the Lord to identify their separation as complete. Without their cleansing their sacrifices would not have been acceptable, and they could not have become the contact point for the people.

You as a believer will not be able to offer the spiritual sacrifices of your priesthood, being identified as the chosen of God unless you are first cleansed.

You as a believer cannot function in your calling to be a contact point for the people until you are first cleansed.

The people (all christians) must now come in contact with true apostles who have been cleansed and prepared in acknowledgment of this ONE TRUTH.

We read, Num.8:5, 6, "And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, "Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them."

Christians CANNOT separate and cleanse themselves. The cleansing comes through truth. Many christians are saying that they will learn truth from God alone and not a man. This reflects upon the fear and suspicion and false hopes of ever learning truth through a piece - meal process.

Yet Moses was a person, and God determined to work through this vessel. All the apostles were individuals, and God determined to work through those vessels. God authorizes the inspiration of His government.

Num. 11:16,17, "And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou know to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee."

"And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone." Even so, during the Second 8th Week God will call hundreds of apostles to assist with the same measure of grace God has given to me.

God has determined that the separation and cleansing does NOT take place on an individual basis between Him and each christian alone, but that the christian recognize spiritual government, and in so doing, recognize the need for the apostle to separate and cleanse them and prepare them to serve God in truth. And in so doing, Jesus is again recognized as the HEAD of the Body.

We are joined to Christ through government.

We are joined to Christ through truth.

We are joined to Christ through His Spirit.

Jesus is the advocate bringing UNITY and FORGIVENESS.

And thus will be fulfilled the words spoken to me by the Lord, "There shall be a UNITY that is not feigned, and a ONENESS that is not deceitful."

God will give the grace and peace to the hearts of those who have ears to hear.

In Him,
